Abstract:

An investigation on Nutritional studies on vegetable soybean in northren dry zone of Karnataka (Glycine max (L.) Merrill.) was under taken during kharif season of 2016. The experiment involving 2 x 5 factorial treatment combinations of varieties and chemical fertilizers was laid out in randomized complete block design and replicated thrice was laid out at University of Horticultural Sciences, Bagalkot to assess the performance of soybean varieties for growth parameters. Analysis of variance revealed highly significant difference between varieties and treatment combinations. The variety Swarna Vasundhra found better for growth parameters (to assess the performance of soybean varieties for growth parameters) were found superior in Swarna Vasundhara as compare to JS 335 variety and JS 335 showed better performance with respect to LAI, number of leaves and dry matter partitioning. Among different chemical fertilizer treatments, the treatment 125 % RDF of NPK recorded significantly higher growth parameters. With regard to interaction JS 335 variety with 125 RDF recorded better growth parameters compared to all other treatment combinations.
