The present study were carried out in the Department of Genetics and Plant Breeding, N. D. University of Agriculture and Technology, Kumarganj Faizabad during Rabi season 2014-15 and 2015-16 entitled “Standardization of hydropriming duration for enhance seed yield and its quality parameters in chickpea (Cicer arietinum L.)” The objective of the study was to standardize the hydro priming duration Seed priming is a simple and cheap method but is acceptable in different areas. In order to the effect of hydropriming treatment on germination percentage in caraway (Carum carviL.), this experiment was conducted by randomized block design (Factorial) design with three replications. The factor was including hydro priming 13(P1), 16(P2), and 18(P3) hours. The results showed that the effect of hydropriming was significant on germination percentage, seedling length, and seedling vigour index. Mean comparison showed that the highest germination percentage, seedling length were achieved by P2 and also the highest seedling dry weight and seedling vigour were achieved by P2 and lowest germination percentage, seedling length, seedling dry weight and seedling vigour were achieved by P1. The results of this experiment showed that hydro priming method can improve the germination percentage in field condition and lab condition.
