The aim of this study was to modify the growth, physioecological and reproductive parameter of Coriander sativum by mutagenesis. The seeds of the plant were treated chemical mutagens with sodium azide in concentration of 0.5%, 0.1%, 1.5% and 2% respectively. The growth features was observed at an interval of one week to 7th week of their growth period. The data showed that seed germination value and lethality of plants were 75 and 80%, respectively and highest in control plants. The vegetative growth parameters such as stem length, root length, stem diameter and root diameter was highest at 2% and minimum at 0.5% concentration of sodium azide. The physioecological characters such as chlorophyll and carotene content, highest content was observed at 1% and lowest at 2% but among all, the control plants showing less chlorophyll and carotene content. Reproductive characters such as pollen production, pollen viability and stigma receptivity were also studied. In conclusion, the effect of sodium azide shows positive effect on all the morphological characters considered of Coriandrum sativum as the mutagenic dose increases. Also positive effect of chemical mutagens was observed with increase in concentration of chemical mutagenic treatment on reproductive characters.
