Residual effect of twelve herbicides on the succeeding soybean crop. Results of two years study revealed that emergence %, plant population, phytotoxic effect and branches plant-1 of succeeding soybean crop was not affected by any of the herbicides residue applied in wheat. Yield attributes viz., number of pods plant-1, number of seeds pod-1, seed index, seed yield, Stover yield and harvest index of the succeeding soybean crop were also not influenced by herbicide residue effect. Therefore, residual effect study claimed that use of the tested herbicides in wheat is safe for succeeding soybean crop.
