Study the Profile of the SHGS Members Engaged in Agriculture and Allied Enterprises

Abstract:

The present study was conducted purposively in Nanded and Parbhani districts of the Marathwada region of Maharashtra state during the year 2019-20 in jurisdiction of Mahila Arthic Vikas Mahamandal Organization (MAVIM) and District Rural Development Agency (DRDA) in Marathwada region of Maharashtra state as significant work done by both MAVIM and DRDA in the formation of SHGs. The main aim is to study the profile of the SHGs members engaged in agriculture and allied enterprises. The following independent variables were selected for the study viz, age, education, family type, caste, annual income, occupation, land holding, experience in SHGs enterprise, information seeking behaviour, institutional training received, source of motivation and socio-economic impact of microfinance on the members of self help groups in Marathwada region of Maharashtra State was considered as dependent variable based on the objectives set forth for the study.
