Variability in Growth and Yield Attributes among Different Growth Habits of Groundnut Genotypes

The experiment was conducted during kharif 2017 and 2018 in S.V. Agricultural College, Tirupati with three growth habits of ten groundnut genotypes (erect, decumbent-2 and decumbent-3). Experiment was laid out in randomized block design and replicated thrice. The physiological and growth parameters like crop growth rate, leaf area index, plant height, total dry matter were recorded at 15 days interval. The significant differences were observed among the genotypes for all growth and yield attributes. The genotype Dharani and TCGS1157 with decumbent-3 growth habit showed significantly higher values for crop growth rate, leaf area, leaf area index and yield.
