Theileria spp. is an important tick-borne haemoprotozoan parasites infecting livestock globally. In the present study, investigated the presence of Theileria spp. in the vector ticks of sheep and goats by PCR.A total of 400 engorged ticks were collected from sheep and goat and were morphologically identified as Haemaphysalis bispinosa and Rhipicephalus haemaphysaloides. Out of 400 engorged ticks, 7% (14/200) H. bispinosa and 8% (16/200) R. haemaphysaloides showed the prevalence of Theileria spp. by PCR. From the present study it was evident that both the vector ticks were equally involved in the transmission of Theileria spp.
