Abstract:

The study was conducted with the objective to find the association of physical activity with that of overweight and obesity in school students of age group 10-14 years. The random sampling method was used for selecting the students of both the sexes from their respective classes (5th to 9th class) in both Government schools and Private schools of Chandigarh. It was observed that regular physical activity could assist in controlling overweight and obesity.
