Healthcare-associated infections (HAI) are a threat to patient safety. Hospital Acquired Infections with high levels of antimicrobial resistance are present world over. Hospitals in India have a high burden of infections in their intensive care units (ICU) and general wards, many of which are resistant to antibiotic treatment.
