Abstract:

The present investigation was conducted during November 2014 to April 2015 at the experimental research farm, Indira Gandhi Krishi Vishwavidyalaya, Raipur (Chhattisgarh). Evaluation of light trap using different coloured lights revealed that ordinary tungsten filament light was found to be most effective (41.54%) followed by yellow (21.83%), blue (13.73%) and green colour light (12.52%), whereas red colour light was least effective (10.36%) based on the number of insects caught in the light trap.
